Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings trimmed into sections
  • Salt and pepper
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsps brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • Toasted sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Season chicken wings with salt and pepper
  • Preheat grill to medium and place wings in a single layer over the heat. Grill the wings for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until they are completely cooked through, flipping once. If a few pieces seem get darker before others, shift them to a cooler part of the grill.
  • While the wings are cooking, whisk together garlic, honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch in a measuring cup. Cook the sauce mixture in a saucepan and simmer on low for 3 minutes or until thickened.
  • Toss cooked wings in the honey sesame sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
