These quick and easy cinnamon sugar twisted knots made from crescent roll dough are perfect for serving with your morning coffee or tea.
What better way to start the morning that wake up and smell the coffee…along with these freshly baked Cinnamon Sugar Twisted Knots? I’m usually someone who chooses savory breakfasts (eggs, hash brown, avocado toasts) over sweet breakfasts, but when it comes to that cinnamon sugar flavor, I just can’t resist!
One of my favorite treats is cinnamon sugar pretzels from Auntie Anne’s – getting a waft of that fresh from oven smell is just amazing. Well I’d say these twisted knots have the same effect, you’ll be glad to have made a batch of these because that sweet cinnamon smell will linger in your kitchen for quite a while.
These cinnamon knots are a MINI version of the classic cinnamon roll, but in a two-bite, portable size. Plus, with the help of storebought crescent dough, they are super quick and easy to make.
To make these cinnamon sugar twisted knots, just roll out the dough into a rectangle shaped, spread butter evenly over the dough and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Then fold over the dough, cut into 1 inch pieces, and take each piece and tie a knot. That’s all there is to it!
Though I love these twisted knots warm straight from the oven, they taste delicious at room temperature. They’ve got that plump, cinnamon-swirl, icing-drizzled effect — the perfect way to start the day.

My latest favourite breakfast treat to have with my coffee is custard tarts! It used to be fruit filled muffins. There’s just sonething about ‘crispy on the outside, gooey in the middle’ that makes a great breakfast coffee companion. In the evening however, a crunchy cookie like gingerbread is my choice of pairing. I just dunk it right in my coffee and I’m in heaven.

The cinnamon bites look delicious. I love a good, strong dark brew in the morning and these would be amazing with it. I am in retail and we sell these machines and I covet them – love to suggest them to customers.
