Barbecue sauce is a staple and when you top your next grilled dinner with this sweet and tangy homemade peach barbecue sauce you may just never go back to store-bought sauces.
- 1/3 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 medium yellow peaches pitted and diced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp barbecue rub
- Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Puree in batches in a food processor or use an immersion blender to help break down the peaches until desired consistency is reached.
Season with salt and pepper.
