Ingredients
2ripe peachessliced (leave skin on)
1½inchesfresh gingersliced
½tspground turmeric or 1 inch fresh turmeric rootsliced
4cupswater or green tea
1-2tbspshoney or maple syrupoptional
Ice and fresh peach slicesfor serving
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine peaches, ginger, turmeric, and water or green tea. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, until peaches are soft and liquid is golden and fragrant.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a heatproof pitcher or jar.
Stir in sweetener to taste, if using.
Serve warm, or chill and pour over ice for a refreshing iced tea. Garnish with peach slices if desired.
