Good morning, friends!  Long time no chat.  It’s been a week of packing, moving, and some relaxing, swimming, and cruising around Bermuda, but now I’m back to the grind.  Bermuda is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to share some of our trip’s highlights with you.  It’s just a three hour direct flight from New York, so it’s quick and easy to get to.  The beaches are among the most beautiful I’ve seen and that turquoise water, I just can’t get enough of it!

Now that vacation is over, I need to get back on track pronto. We all know that drinking enough water during the day and staying hydrated is important for our health, but sometimes, it seems like that plain ole’ water just won’t do the trick.  Enter infused water.  You might have tried them at day spas or seen them at the grocery stores, but it’s so easy to make at home.

Not only do these water taste refreshing, they add flavors to water without the unhealthy additives and calories found in many other flavored drinks. It’s naturally energizing and will definitely keep you properly hydrated during a hot summer day or after a sweaty workout session.  After finishing the first pitcher (this pitcher is awesome!), I refilled it with more fresh water and was able to get a lot of flavors from the second infusion as well.

By the way, I like to make infused water using this water bottle I got from Christmas last year. I pack it with fruit in the morning and bring it to work, and I’ll refill it with water throughout the day. I use lemon, cucumber, and mint, but there is so much room for variation to make this recipe your own!  Experiment on your own and have fun with it.

Food for thought…

What’s your favorite way to stay hydrated?
