Take your iced coffee to the next level with decadent Salted Caramel Iced Latte.
If you have visited my blog before you will know that I love a great cup of coffee. When I feel like indulging in a caffeinated beverage, I choose to have an iced latte. It’s the perfect blend of sweetness, creaminess, and of course, a nice jolt of caffeine. Every now and then, I channel my inner barista and come up with different coffee inspired concoctions.
Here’s a tasty one I came up with recently: Salted Caramel Iced Latte!
Coffee and sweets are totally my thing. Mix coffee and caramel together and you’ve got my dream beverage. Instead of using regular caramel sauce, I used the salted caramel sauce I made from scratch. My friend always adds a pinch of salt to his coffee to mellow the bitter flavor of coffee, and I always thought it sounded a bit crazy – definitely not the case when the salt part comes from salted caramel! The flavors just work so well together.
For this tasty concoction, I used Folgers® Coffeehouse Blend, a medium dark roast that can be found at Publix. I love the smooth, bold taste of this blend, which stands out for a morning cup of coffee or for making coffee beverages with the use of additional flavorings like in this iced latte. I like to use my drip coffee machine to brew extra strength coffee for this recipe – you can even use a French press or moka pot.
- ¾ cup strongly brewed Folgers Coffeehouse Blend
- 2 tbsps homemade or storebought salted caramel
- ½ cup cold milk
- 6 large ice cubes, for serving
- Whipped cream, for garnish
- Combine coffee and salted caramel sauce in a glass and mix until blended. Add ice cubes and pour milk over the coffee.
- Top with whipped cream and drizzle with more caramel sauce on top. Enjoy!
