Smooth, strong cold brew coffee that you can make ahead!
I don’t know about you, but my mornings often start off a bit hectic while trying to get ready for work. So I like to plan ahead and am always brainstorming for ways to have simplify my morning routine. But first…coffee! Am I right?
I want some smooth, strong cold brew in the morning, but did you know that it’s easy to make without any fancy device?
Let’s break this down into few simple steps!
Step 1: Pour 1 cup of ground coffee into a pitcher. You can use French roast, breakfast blend, decaf, or whatever your favorite blend is. The more coarsely ground, the better.
Step 2: Pour 4 cups of cold water over the grounds.
Step 3: Give it a good stir and cover with plastic wrap. Let it steep at room temperature for at least 12 hours.
Step 4: Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into another pitcher or container. If your strainer is not fine enough, you can line it with a coffee filter before pouring the mixture through.
Now simply pour over ice and serve with milk or half and half as desired! Or in my case, pour it into a tumbler in the morning for sipping during my commute. By the way, the cold brew will keep for up to two weeks covered and chilled in the fridge. No need to wait on long lines at a fancy coffee shop for a cup of coffee.

I also like to grab some belVita Breakfast Biscuits to provide nutritious steady energy all morning. I love how these crunchy biscuits are made with a combination of grains with no high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, artificial flavors or artificial sweeteners.
belVita blueberry and golden oat breakfast biscuits are available in value packs in Target, as are these delicious belVita banana bread and mixed berry mini breakfast biscuits. Pair it with a coffee with low-fat milk and a piece of fruit, and then I’m good to go!
